Danna is a 2011 Oldenburg ISR. She is roughly 15.3 hands but has a nice barrel that fills out the leg (so she doesn’t feel small even with a taller rider).
Danna was started as a late 3 or early 4 year old. At her first show, she competed at Training Level and earned solid scores to mid 70’s and even earned High Point of the show.
Before she went home to her breeders (as a 5 year old), she was schooling 1st and some 2nd level dressage; she had also started jumping with an easy change both ways. Danna is very athletic and is always ready to try new things. She’s SUPER comfortable to ride but is sensitive and has a lot of energy so wouldn’t be for a beginner or timid rider.
Danna was home for several years while her breeders sent some other horses to be trained, and in that time she had an altercation with a fence from which she now has some pretty significant cosmetic scarring on one hind leg. It doesn’t have any effect on her soundness, but that’s why she's priced so low at $10,000. Danna has been fantastic coming back into work. She remembers everything and hasn’t done anything outlandish, even without lunging. Pictures are from her 5th ride back, where she worked all over the property (walk, trot, canter), including the huge front field with all the road traffic zooming by. She didn’t have any issues.
Danna has a big, somewhat goofy, personality and is always eager at the gate and looking for something to do. Erika believes she has the potential to become a FEI Dressage horse with the right person. She would also make a super fun eventer.
Danna has always been barefoot and is an easy keeper with no maintenance or behavioral issues.
